Information we collect

When you subscribe to Data Stack Weekly, we collect the email address you submit. We may also retain the page and form used to subscribe, campaign parameters such as UTM values, and technical information needed to operate and secure the signup request.

DataStackGuide uses Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. If Meta measurement is enabled, the site may use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure newsletter signups and build exclusion audiences so existing subscribers or previous converters do not receive acquisition ads.

How we use information

We use subscriber information to deliver the newsletter, honor unsubscribe requests, troubleshoot delivery, measure acquisition, prevent duplicate subscriptions, and improve the site. We do not sell subscriber email addresses.

Service providers

Resend processes newsletter contacts and email delivery. Cloudflare operates the signup endpoint. GitHub Pages hosts the public site. Google processes analytics data. Meta may process advertising measurement data when its tools are configured. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy practices.

Cookies and similar identifiers

Analytics and advertising services may set cookies or similar identifiers. Campaign parameters may be sent with a successful signup. Where required, browser or server advertising events use a shared event ID to prevent the same signup from being counted twice.

Customer-list matching and exclusions

If paid acquisition is used, active subscriber email addresses may be normalized and hashed for a restricted customer-list exclusion audience. The purpose is to avoid advertising the newsletter to people who already receive it. Any temporary export must be deleted after upload.

Retention and choices

Subscriber records are retained while a subscription is active and as needed to preserve unsubscribe status, security, and legal records. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You may also request access, correction, or deletion by emailing [email protected].

Children

DataStackGuide is a business publication and is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy as the newsletter, measurement stack, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
